28,000 years old dildo found
German archeologists found what is believed to be one of the oldest sex toys in the world. The 20cm polished siltstone dildo’s creation has been dated to around 28,000 years ago.
The significance of the find is explained by Professor Nicholas Conard, from the department of Early Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology: “Female representations with highly accentuated sexual attributes are very well documented at many sites, but male representations are very, very rare.”
