Can one make a firecracker explode inside a balloon without bursting the balloon? It would seem it’s not possible, yet as seen in this video a blue laser is able to ignite the firecracker, leaving the balloon untouched.
The trick is that the balloon is clear, which allows the light from the laser to pass through harmlessly. Once the light encounters the resistance of the firecracker it becomes heat and ignites the firecracker.
